FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • We are currently accepting referrals for new clients.

    Our speech language pathologist can accept clients in Vermont and New Hampshire. Clients from New Hampshire may need to be in-person for evaluations if they do not have a relevant evaluation from the past calendar year.

    Our occupational therapist can accept clients in Vermont and Massachusetts. Clients from Massachusetts will need to come in person for the initial evaluation, unless they have a valid occupational therapy evaluation from the past calendar year.

  • We accept Medicaid, BCBS, and private pay clients. Co-pays and deductibles vary from plan to plan, so please contact us for any further information.

  • Every client receives a new evaluation upon beginning services at Moxie unless an evaluation has been completed within one year of beginning services at Moxie.

    A thorough review will be completed of medical and educational records in addition to intake documents required.

    Assessment materials are determined based on individual need and are comprised of age-appropriate, standardized assessments combined with subjective clinical observations and an extensive medical and social history.

    SLP assessments may include oral mechanism exam, speech, language, fluency, executive function, or social communication. 

    OT assessment will look at any skills that impact daily functioning, which may include gross motor, fine motor, visual perceptual, visual motor, sensory processing, social-emotional, motor planning, and executive functioning skills.

  • Cost will be discussed when your appointment is scheduled.

  • We do provide telehealth services, if clincally appropriate. Please inquire with your provider for more information.
